The club

Purist jazz, not tourist jazz

U Malého Glena Jazz & Blues Club is considered by local and visiting jazz musicians, fans and international media as one of the most authentic jazz spots of Prague.

Shows start at 20:00, doors open at 19:00. We offer the complete food and drink menu in the club and will gladly serve you before or during the concert.

Every night concerts feature the best local jazz and blues musicians and groups of various sizes. Mondays are dedicated to blues. From 1995 until July 2015 we presented the longest running blues gig in Prague with Stan the Man Bohemian Blues Band. Currently we feature Chicago bluesman Rene Trossman and his band.

We strive to book the finest players in town: David Dorůžka, Robert Balzar, Karel Růžička, Ondřej Štveráček, NajPonk, Matěj Benko, Josef Fečo, Standa Mácha, Rosťa Fraš, Jan Kořínek, Libor Šmoldas and international guests such as Jerry Bergonzi, Osian Roberts, Brian Charette, Chuck Wansley, Alberto Marsico, Steve Clarke, Christian Rover, Piotr Baron, Peter Guidi or Steve Walsh.

We were more than happy to host James Zollar, Sharon Jones, Randy Napoleon, Eb Davis, Neal Sugarman and jazz legends such as Brad Mehldau, Jeff Ballard, Freddy Cole and Valery Ponomarev, who sat in with the local top musicians when visiting Prague.

On Sundays we run the jazz jam session, the very first regular jam session in town since 1995, currently hosted by bass player Taras Voloschuck. Put your name on the list at the bar and agree the details with the house band leader. On the last Sunday of each month there is a blues jam session hosted by Rene Trossman.
